Process and Product We live, learn and practice in a contemporary and fast pace society. As educators it is our job to enrich the students learning experiences and arm them with every opportunity at out disposal. My philosophy relates to teaching students to question and critically reflect for the purpose of deep and sustainable learning. When designing a scheme I consider the learning opportunities embedded throughout the 'process' of creating an end 'product'. Where students will gain a sense of achievement in completing a piece of art, I believe that they should also become aware of the learning opportunities in each step of its creation as well as a solid comprehension of the difference between quality over quantity, enriched designs over mass production. As a keen advocate of developing literacy and numeracy skills in this very practical led subject, I embed strategies to aid in this throughout my schemes. A selection of my scheme templates and images of the 'Process' to 'Product' implementation of the scheme can be seen via the highlighted links to the right of the images.
